This charming detached farmhouse has four double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It is situated on the edge of a quiet hamlet surrounded by beautiful countryside and has stunning views. The property has a southerly aspect and is most attractive with open stonework, shutters and terracotta tiles to the roof, which is typical of the properties in this area. Summer offers field upon field of golden sunflowers, walnut orchards and vines.

bathroomDownstairs the farmhouse has a good size, well-fitted kitchen with fridge freezer, gas hob, oven and microwave. There is also an automatic washing machine. Off the kitchen is the downstairs shower room and toilet.

loungeThe wonderful large lounge/dining room has a huge original Charentaise fireplace and wood burning stove, making the house a delight during the cooler winter months. There is satellite television and a video with large assortment of movies on tape. Up 3 steps from the lounge is a large double bedroom with wash hand basin. This room would be ideal for people who don't like too many stairs. On the ground floor there are terracotta tiles to the floors and exposed ceiling beams.

 

Upstairs are three very good sized double bedrooms, two with double beds and one with two single beds. The newly renovated upstairs bathroom is absolutely charming and has a full sized bath. There is a wealth of original beams throughout.

Outside there is an attractive garden with stunning expansive views. There is a good size lawn with garden furniture, barbecue and many mature shrubs and flowers and an old walnut tree and fig tree (harvest your own in October!) On the photograph above you can see the boules pitch to help while away a few relaxing hours.  The pool is not shared except on occasion by the owner.  There are wonderful views and it offers a great place to relax and cool down.

TARIFF (Bookings are Saturday to Saturday, during high season):

  • High Season - £890 per week
  • Mid Season - £485 per week
  • All other dates - £275 per week
  • Welcome hamper
  • Fresh linen and towels weekly (except pool/beach towels)
  • Weekly maid service
  • Electricity and gas are included during the summer months
  • Discounts for longer letting periods and late bookings
