The cottage is in the small hamlet of “La Foix” near Brie sous Chalais.
from CALAIS
- Autoroute A26
- change to A1 Autoroute to Paris
- ( Tip : travelling south follow signs for Bordeaux through Paris )
- ( Tip : travelling north follow signs for Lille through Paris )
- after Paris take A10 to Orléans and continue on
- A10 to Tours and
- continue until Poitiers
- then take the N10 to Angoulême
- then follow D674 signs to Chalais and Libourne.
- On reaching Montboyer turn right in the village towards Brie, Curac & Bardenac. This will take you along a twisting country road with beautiful scenery. After 5km there are crossroads. Go straight over towards Brie. Fork right towards Brie sous Chalais. In the centre of Brie, fork right. After half a km, turn left to La Foix. The house is the last on the right. Park your car on the grass opposite, near the well.
From ST MALO
- N137 to Rennes and Nantes
- A83 to Niort
- D948 towards Melle, Sauze-Vaussais and Angouleme
- N10 to Angouleme
- then follow D674 signs to Chalais and Libourne.
